The BatteryChargingLocker from Lo Minck Mobility is a high-quality modular stainless steel storage and charging cabinet in which bicycle batteries, and possibly other small devices such as smartphones or iPads, can be safely stored and/or charged in individual compartments. Although this unique locker, due to its compartmentalized and modular design, has features to limit the effects of a battery fire, the BatteryChargingLocker is not a fire safety cabinet.
The product principle is based on basic modules with one individually lockable charging compartment (LMS1), 2 individually lockable compartments (LMS2) or 4 individually lockable compartments (LMS4). These basic modules can be configured into assemblies ranging from 1 to 8 individual charging compartments. Each compartment is equipped with a power socket (230V). The dimensions of the compartments are tailored to standard batteries, including the charger.
Difference BatteryChargingLocker compared to charging with a wall socket and/or charging points integrated into the bike rack.
Material: Stainless steel
Modular design: Basic modules available with various lockable compartments.
Individual compartments: Each compartment is individually lockable and equipped with a power outlet (230V).
Compatibility: Designed for common bicycle batteries, including chargers.
Expandable capacity: The charging capacity can easily be increased by adding extra modules.
Safety: Each compartment is designed so that both the bicycle battery and the charging cable are safely and securely stored, minimizing the risk of theft.
Fire control: Although the cabinet does not have fire safety certification, the compartmentalization and modular design help limit the spread of fire. The compartments allow potentially igniting parts to be isolated.
Smoke detection: It is recommended to place smoke detectors near the locker for early fire detection.
Bike batteries and charging cables are stored safely and securely, making theft nearly impossible.
Charging capacity can be quickly and easily expanded, unlike fixed wall sockets.
Provides better protection against fire risks due to individual compartments and modular design.
Easy to configure according to individual needs.
Suitable for storing other small electronics and personal items such as helmets.
Electric bikes do not need to be placed near wall sockets.
Less vulnerable and maintenance-intensive than wall sockets or integrated charging points in bike racks.
Outdoor placement possible (IP53, IP54)
The charging locker should be placed on a stable and preferably level surface. With the adjustable feet, the charging locker can be leveled. Optionally, and at an additional cost, adjustable feet can be provided that allow the charging locker can be fixed to the ground. The base module can also be optionally mounted on the wall.
Optionally, the charging locker can be placed on a stainless steel (RVS304) base frame to improve accessibility to the lower charging compartments. Base frame dimensions (DxBxH): 536x397x520mm. With adjustable feet, the base frame can be leveled. Optionally, and at an additional cost, adjustable feet can be provided to secure the base frame to the ground.
Knowing that some bike batteries are integrated into the bike frame and therefore cannot be detached from the bike, the charging locker optionally expandable with a external charging module, which is equipped with 2 charging points on each side (for a total of 4 external charging points).
The charging locker can be assembled in many configurations
A standard bike battery charger consumes 350W (approximately 1.5A). If all 1 to 8 compartments are used simultaneously at full power, this means a maximum power of 350W each (LMS1), 700W (LMS2), 1.050W (LMS3), 1.400W (LMS4), 1.750W (LMS5), 2.100W (LMS6), 2.450W (LMS7) en 2.800W (LMS8). Preferably, the charging locker is connected to a separate circuit (230V/16A).
The individual compartments have an autonomous digital code lock powered by batteries. The lock can be programmed for private or public use.
Users have access without a key. Users can set their own code. A master code ensures that the administrator always has access. Mechanical opening by the administrator with a master key is also possible.
