Patented, fully fireproof
The patented cylindrical design is suitable for the safe storage and charging of lithium-ion batteries. Its unique design withstands the explosive pressure generated during a battery fire and maintains control over the fire and high temperatures, which can reach up to 1,200°C. The BatteryBoxXL is fully fireproof for an unlimited number of minutes.

If multiple bike batteries are stored in a charging cabinet and one of these batteries catches fire, a chain reaction can occur, causing the other bike batteries to also ignite. The resulting immense explosive pressure and toxic gas formation are life-threatening.
The BatteryBoxXL has a capacity of up to 3,700Wh. (for example, 4 batteries of 900Wh.), with the charger and battery stored separately. This separated storage prevents unnecessary temperature increases, which positively impacts the lifespan of your bicycle battery and reduces the risk of ignition.
Safe smoke exhaust
The advice is the BatteryBoxXL to provide a safe smoke exhaust so that toxic smoke and flying cell particles are expelled to the outside air. If a safe exhaust to the outside air is not possible, we advise you on the best possible solution for your situation.
Modular
Due to the modular principle of the BatteryBoxXL the charging capacity can be easily expanded.
Taking operating height into account, we recommend stacking a maximum of 3 boxes. For better accessibility to the lowest box, it is possible to place a configuration of 1, 2, or 3 boxes on a base frame.
User-friendly
The BatteryBoxXL is easy to use. If the door is not closed properly, this is communicated with both a light and sound signal.

This separation prevents overheating, extends the lifespan of bicycle batteries, and reduces the risk of fire and explosive reactions, providing extra safety when storing multiple batteries.
The modular design allows the capacity of the BatteryBoxXL to be easily expanded by stacking multiple units (up to three).
The BatteryBox XL has been tested with critically defective batteries and certified by recognized institutions such as KIWA and MPA Dresden. This makes the box reliable and suitable for 24/7 use, meeting the requirements of insurers.
The maximum capacity is 3,700 Wh., which corresponds to, for example, four bicycle batteries of 900Wh. each.
The recommendation is to equip the BatteryBox XL with a safe smoke exhaust, so that toxic smoke gases and flying cell particles are vented outside in the event of a fire.
The box is easy to use and has built-in visual and auditory warning signals if the door is not properly closed.
The BatteryBoxXL should be placed on a stable and preferably level surface. Optionally, the BatteryBoxXL can be placed on a base frame to improve accessibility to the lower charging compartments. For the BatteryBoxXL two base frames are available; 15 cm and 56 cm in height. It is recommended to stack a maximum of 3 modules.
According to VDMA guidelines, a battery charging cabinet must be equipped with a smoke exhaust that vents to the outside air. For safe smoke exhaust, using the correct materials and ensuring proper installation are essential.
If a smoke exhaust venting to the outside is not possible, the smoke exhaust can be equipped with a smoke detector, which can optionally be connected to an alarm system. Although this solution does not meet VDMA guidelines, the BatteryBoxXL ensures that the consequences of a battery fire are limited to smoke damage.
